On July 30, BYD officially released more details of the Dahan, its flagship sedan under the Dynasty 9 series.
The vehicle measures 5,256 mm in length with a 3,130 mm wheelbase, and is offered in both plug-in hybrid and battery electric powertrains. The pure electric version achieves a maximum CLTC driving range of 1,008 km. Its all-wheel-drive variant sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h. The BYD Dahan will make its public debut at the Chengdu Motor Show in August.
For exterior design, the front fascia carries over the Dynasty family’s signature "Dragon Face" design language. The integrated through-type light assembly paired with dragon whisker styling elements gives the model strong visual recognizability. The lower bumper echoes the shape of the daytime running lights, and is equipped with an active grille, with air vents on both sides.

The plug-in hybrid version combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor. The engine has a maximum power output of 115 kW, while the electric motor delivers a peak power of 200 kW. Fitted with a 54.489 kWh traction battery, it offers a WLTC pure electric range of 370 km.
The battery electric variant is available in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The rear-wheel-drive model features a single motor with a peak output of 370 kW. The all-wheel-drive version adopts a dual-motor layout, with front and rear motors producing maximum power of 200 kW and 370 kW respectively. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 270 km/h.
