Spy shots of the Lexus TZ, the brand’s first three-row electric flagship SUV, have been exposed. The model is essentially a premium version built on the all-electric Toyota Highlander. The new car is expected to make its official debut in late 2026 or early 2027.
From the spy shots, even though the entire vehicle is covered in camouflage, we can see the new model has a large body, and its overall outline is highly consistent with the all-electric Highlander. However, Lexus has made exclusive adjustments to the details: the front end uses split headlights paired with a simpler bumper, the side wheel arches are more squared-off, and it is fitted with all-new style wheels. The side door handles and window design are the same as the all-electric Highlander, with only slight differences in the door panels. The rear details are still heavily covered, and we can only see that the taillight shape is similar to that of the all-electric Highlander. In terms of size, the TZ is expected to be basically the same as the all-electric Highlander. The new car measures 5050mm in length, 1989mm in width and 1709mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3051mm.
For the powertrain, the new model will most likely use Toyota’s existing electric hardware. Referring to the all-electric Highlander, the base version comes with a 77kWh battery and a single motor, with a maximum power of 224 horsepower and a peak torque of 268 N·m. The all-wheel drive version is upgraded to a 95.8kWh battery, with a maximum power of 343 horsepower, a peak torque of 438 N·m, and a driving range of up to 515km.
