We found a new spy shot of the BYD Dolphin plug-in hybrid that have surfaced online, with reports stating the model will be named the Dolphin GDmi and feature an all-new design. Its front headlights adopt a sleek, sporty style that’s trending right now, with the left and right lamps likely connected by a decorative panel in the center, and the front bumper is designed with a large air intake.
On the side, the vehicle maintains a relatively compact size and is set to remain positioned as a subcompact car. It comes with conventional door handles, and a charging port is located on the left rear side. At the rear, it features a full-width taillight – a consistent design hallmark of BYD models – paired with a highly dynamic rear spoiler, while the entire rear bumper has a sturdy, substantial look.
Specific powertrain details are yet to be revealed, but the model will definitely be paired with BYD’s fifth-generation DM system, and it’s expected to be equipped with a 1.5L plug-in hybrid system.
