It was announced at the 212 booth during the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show on November 22nd that the brand’s all-new compact SUV, the 212 T01 PHEV, is set to launch in Q1 2026. With the addition of this new model, the 212 T01 lineup now covers gasoline, diesel, and hybrid power options, catering to diverse customer preferences.
The 212 T01 PHEV inherits the design of its gasoline-powered counterpart, reinterpreting classic elements through features such as a clamshell hood, air defense lamps, a three-section grille, split circular headlamps, rectangular turn signals, and vintage-style windows. Meanwhile, the vehicle boasts robust front/rear bumpers and wheel arches, emphasizing its rugged styling. At the rear, it retains the iconic split taillight design, external spare tire, and side-hinged tailgate, while maintaining considerable off-road capability.
In terms of off-road configurations, the new model is equipped with a part-time four-wheel drive (4WD) system, enabling switching between high-range and low-range 4WD. It will also offer front and rear differential locks (as optional extras) and a dedicated OFFROAD mode.
