At the Guangzhou Auto Show held on November 21st, the production version of the Chery Fengyun A9 EV was officially unveiled. Serving as the mass-produced iteration of the Chery Fengyun E05 concept car, the new model inherits many design philosophies from its concept predecessor. It will be equipped with the Falcon 700 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and offer both pure electric and extended-range variants.
In terms of exterior design, the new car features a closed-front fascia. Its sleek, narrow headlamps integrate multi-strip LED daytime running lights—with a wider angle than the concept car, better adapting to mass production requirements.
From the side profile, the vehicle adopts a fastback coupe-inspired silhouette, with a streamlined roof seamlessly connecting to the rear. A lidar sensor is mounted on the front section of the roof. The front/rear fenders and door panels avoid exaggerated character lines, while semi-hidden door handles and 19-inch low-drag wheels further optimize the overall aerodynamic efficiency.
At the rear, a through-type taillight cluster is paired with a large-area glossy black panel, extending the visual width of the tail and enhancing its presence.
