The Dongfeng Aeolus L8+ has made its debut in production form. Positioned as a compact SUV, the new model is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Officials stated that the vehicle will focus on high-level intelligent driving, with further upgraded hardware for advanced driver assistance systems.
In terms of exterior design, the new model largely retains the styling of the current Aeolus L8, and will be available in a Star Rose Pink paint finish. The front fascia features a full-width through-type light assembly, with an illuminated brand logo below. The headlight clusters on both sides and the air intake grille form a distinctive "large-mouth" profile. In addition, the vehicle will be fitted with lidar. Perception cameras are mounted on the side fenders, and it adopts conventional mechanical door handles. As for body dimensions, the Aeolus L8+ measures 4762mm in length, 1910mm in width and 1686mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2825mm.
On the powertrain front, the Dongfeng Aeolus L8+ is powered by a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor, with an expected pure electric range of up to 220km.
