BYD has unveiled the official images of the Dolphin G DM-i, a plug-in hybrid vehicle exclusively developed for the European market. With a combined driving range of 1,000 kilometers, the new model will make its official debut in June and start deliveries in the autumn.
In terms of exterior design, the Dolphin G DM-i adopts the hatchback body style popular among European customers. It features a minimalist front fascia with upward-sweeping integrated headlights connected by a black trim strip across the center, where the BYD brand logo is prominently displayed. The lower section is equipped with an active air intake grille and dynamic air deflectors on both sides.
On the side profile, the character line runs in an upward trajectory, creating a dynamic forward-leaning stance. The vehicle is fitted with semi-hidden door handles and blacked-out petal-shaped sporty alloy wheels. Measuring 4.16 meters in length and 1.825 meters in width, the new model is shorter but wider than the current-generation Dolphin.
Regarding the powertrain, the new vehicle achieves a combined range of 1,000 kilometers using BYD's DM plug-in hybrid technology. No additional details have been officially disclosed yet.
