According to sources, the vehicle will adopt a brand-new naming system and come under SKYNOMAD — a rumored new sub-brand of Xiaomi, with "Kunlun" as its internal codename. It is estimated that this series will include 2 to 3 models, with launches spanning 2026 to 2027, and the first model is expected to debut between the second half and the end of 2026.
Previously leaked spy shots show that the new car is noticeably a size bigger than the YU7, with a visually estimated length of over 5200mm. At the rear, the taillight clusters are vertically arranged on both sides, and a dual through-type light strip is likely to be used in the middle. A small spoiler extends from the roof and is fitted with a brake light.
Meanwhile, sources add that Xiaomi's Kunlun series models will also use a range-extended solution with a large-capacity battery. The car is expected to be equipped with a battery of over 70kWh, delivering a pure electric driving range of around 400 to 500 kilometers. In addition, configurations including rear-wheel steering and air suspension are also expected to be available on the model.
