ZEEKR has officially announced that the ZEEKR 8X will host a technology launch event on March 16, with pre-orders opening concurrently. Built on the SEA-S Super E-Hybrid Architecture, the new model will make its global debut with the next-generation G-ASD advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).
Stylistically, the ZEEKR 8X carries over the design language of the 9X. Its front fascia features a large chrome-finished vertical-slat grille, flanked by split headlights with C-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) on either side, while a LiDAR sensor is mounted on the roof.
In terms of dimensions, the ZEEKR 8X measures 5100mm in length, 1998mm in width and 1780mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3069mm. Positioned as a mid-to-large size SUV, its footprint is closely aligned with that of the Li L8. Along the side profile, the vehicle adopts conventional door handles, and the top-spec variant will be offered with 315mm-wide tires. At the rear, it features a full-width C-shaped taillight assembly that mirrors the front fascia design, with the entire rear bumper delivering a crossover-inspired look.
For the powertrain, the new model is equipped with a 2.0T plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system. The combustion engine delivers a maximum output of 205kW, while the tri-motor megawatt-level electric drive system pushes the total combined output up to 1030kW, targeting a 0-100km/h acceleration time in the 2-second range. Additionally, the vehicle will offer high-capacity battery packs with 6C ultra-fast charging capability. According to previous filing data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the battery packs come in 55.1kWh and 70kWh variants, offering CLTC-rated pure electric driving ranges of 256km, 257km and 328km respectively.
