Great Wall Motor has announced the launch of the Great Wall Pao Mountain Edition. True to its name, the model is tailored for mountain driving scenarios, with enhanced performance in power, durability, and off-road capability. Key features include two powertrain options – a 2.4T+9AT diesel setup and a 2.0T+8AT gasoline configuration – alongside off-road-focused equipment such as a snorkel, 18-inch all-terrain tires, and a metal off-road bumper. With a wading depth of up to 700mm, the new vehicle is set to officially launch on December 2nd.
Designed with a standard wheelbase and standard cargo bed, the Pao Mountain Edition offers two body dimension variants: 5413×1883×1882mm (Commercial Version) and 5444×1958×1893mm (Off-Road Version), both featuring a 3230mm wheelbase. Catering to diverse user needs, the Off-Road Pao Mountain Edition emphasizes recreational usability with a multi-link rear suspension, while the Commercial Pao Mountain Edition prioritizes load-bearing capacity with a leaf spring suspension.
In terms of power, the model retains the 2.4T diesel+9AT and 2.0T gasoline+8AT powertrain combinations. The 2.4T diesel engine delivers a maximum power of 137 kW and a peak torque of 480 N·m, while the 2.0T gasoline engine generates 160 kW of maximum power and 380 N·m of peak torque.
