Recently, spy shots of the production version of the all-new Citroën C5 AIRCROSS have been exposed overseas, revealing a clearer picture of the vehicle. The all-new Citroën C5 AIRCROSS is positioned as a compact SUV, with the production model maintaining the design elements from its concept version. It is reported that this car will be the fifth model produced on the STLA Medium platform.
The roof adopts a blacked-out design, further lowering the visual center of gravity of the entire vehicle. The most significant change on the side is the removal of the hidden door handles seen in the concept version. Additionally, the test vehicle features "ordinary wheel designs," while the closed wheel designs expected for the production model are not present. Of course, such wheel designs better suit the practicality requirements of a mass-produced vehicle.
In terms of power, the new car will offer a variety of options including gasoline, hybrid, and pure electric versions. The gasoline version will be equipped with a 1.2T three-cylinder engine. For the pure electric version, there will be both single-motor front-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations, with battery capacities of 73kWh and 98kWh available, offering a maximum range of up to 700km.
