Lantu Auto has released teaser images of the new Lantu FREE. According to the official preview, the new car will be equipped with Huawei's most advanced driving assistance system and is expected to feature the HarmonyOS cockpit. The front of the vehicle adopts a completely new design, with the headlights and grille being re-optimized. The headlights are larger and more elongated, and the grille includes a new self-illuminating decoration, maintaining its slender shape. The front bumper abandons the previous multi-surface design in favor of a more traditional style, and a lidar sensor has been added to the roof. The side profile retains dynamic character lines, while the rear lights have also been optimized, likely retaining the through-type taillight design.
In terms of power, referring to the current model, the new car uses a range-extended powertrain, featuring a 1.5T range extender. The single-motor version has a maximum power output of 200 kW, while the dual-motor version offers up to 360 kW. The CLTC pure electric range for the two versions is 318 km and 259 km respectively, with WLTC fuel consumption rates of 6.19 L/100km and 6.69 L/100km when running on gasoline.
