Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Daqing Volvo Car Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. have filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall of Defective Auto Products" and the "Implementing Measures for the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Auto Products." The recall, effective immediately, involves certain domestically produced plug-in hybrid short-range XC60 vehicles, totaling 4,420 units; certain domestically produced plug-in hybrid short-range S90 vehicles, totaling 4,544 units; certain domestically produced plug-in hybrid short-range S60 vehicles, totaling 1,795 units; and certain imported plug-in hybrid short-range XC90 vehicles, totaling 2,969 units.
Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Daqing Volvo Car Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will authorize Volvo dealerships to inspect the high-voltage batteries of the recalled vehicles. If any abnormalities are detected, the battery modules will be replaced free of charge. Additionally, all recalled vehicles will receive an upgrade to their onboard diagnostic software, which can detect potential issues with the battery modules. This software will alert the driver via the dashboard before a risk occurs, prompting them to seek repairs. In the event of a potential issue, the high-voltage battery will enter a protective mode, and any abnormal battery modules will be replaced to eliminate safety hazards.
