Hyundai has unveiled official images of the all-new Elantra. Six years after the launch of the previous generation, the eighth-generation model debuts with comprehensive evolutions in design, space, driving dynamics, performance, safety and digital experience.
In terms of exterior styling, the all-new Elantra adopts an "Iron Art" design language, shaping a three-dimensional and dynamic silhouette through precise lines and sculpted surfaces. The front fascia features a wide-body design, accented by slim LED headlights, which lend the front grille a futuristic appeal.
Along the side profile, flared character lines reinforce the body's three-dimensional sense and impart a muscular stance. The new model is equipped with 18-inch wheels. The taillight design echoes the front headlights, presented as LED light strips, and the rear end is composed of multiple sculpted surfaces for a striking visual impact.
In dimensions, the new model measures 4,765 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,425 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Compared with the outgoing generation, its length and wheelbase have increased by 55 mm and 30 mm respectively, while the width has grown by 30 mm. Six exterior color options will be available.
For powertrain, the new model offers two setups: a 2.0L gasoline engine and a 1.6L hybrid system. The gasoline variant delivers a maximum output of 149 horsepower. The hybrid version gets an upgraded drive motor and a larger battery, with a combined power output of 157 horsepower, and is also fitted with a kinetic energy recovery system.
