The first spy shots of the Kia PV7 have made their debut. The new model will be a van larger in size than the PV5. This new energy vehicle is built on the Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) platform with a skateboard chassis, and is scheduled to launch in 2027.
The PV7 test prototype is heavily camouflaged, yet its front fascia design bears resemblance to that of the earlier PV series concept cars. It features a robust front end, a sharply raked windshield, and quarter windows on the A-pillars. The vehicle has a notably large overall footprint, with power sliding doors fitted on the side. The new model measures roughly 5,270–5,900 mm in length, and will be available in multiple wheelbase versions to cater to various transportation demands.
The core highlight of the PV7 is its high level of modularity. Built on a single chassis platform, it can be configured into a variety of body types, including high-roof cargo vans, multi-seat commuter vehicles, and camper vans. Backed by the positive market reception and far-beyond-expectation orders for the PV5, the PV7 will also be rolled out to the market rapidly, which further validates the success of Kia's PBV strategy.
