Spy shots of the new Volvo XC40 have been exposed. The vehicle will receive its second mid-cycle facelift, with the XC40 having first made its debut in 2017.
The test mule is covered with only a small amount of camouflage on the front and rear ends. The headlight contours have changed, and the grille will adopt a brand-new style. The sporty design of the front bumper has been softened, and the overall design will move closer to Volvo's latest design philosophy without any subversive changes. The new car adds new alloy wheel styles and body color options to further enrich users' personalized choices, and the taillight design will also be adjusted.
In terms of powertrain, the gasoline-powered XC40 will continue to be equipped with 48V mild hybrid gasoline engines. Referring to the current model, the maximum power outputs of the B3 and B4 2.0T powertrains are 120 kW and 145 kW respectively, offering both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. At the same time, the emission system will be optimized and adjusted. The pure electric version EX40 will also benefit from this facelift upgrade simultaneously.
