Ford has officially unveiled the Ford Bronco Filson special edition, a collaborative model created with American outdoor workwear brand Filson. Paying homage to the classic Eddie Bauer Bronco from the last century, it becomes the second variant in the Bronco lineup to feature the 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The vehicle comes standard with the full Sasquatch off-road package, while receiving comprehensive upgrades to interior quietness and premium materials.
Based on the four-door Bronco body style, the exterior draws design inspiration from Filson's century-old workwear heritage, featuring numerous exclusive custom accessories that distinguish it from standard models. The front fascia sports a unique matte-finish grille with the Bronco lettering finished in bronze, replacing the factory black badging. The vehicle also offers exclusive equipment such as custom front tow hooks.
The new SUV model's standout feature is its 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 engine, shared with the Bronco Raptor but detuned for civilian use. Engineers have specifically calibrated it for smooth daily commuting, delivering approximately 380 horsepower. It is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with a multi-mode active exhaust system that includes a quiet mode, allowing drivers to turn off the exhaust note during everyday driving. Unlike the Raptor's factory exhaust which produces significant noise, this setup is better suited for urban environments. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with FOX nitrogen-charged shocks, a part-time four-wheel drive system, and front and rear electronic locking differentials.
