Spy Shots: All-Electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class Long Wheelbase Spotted in China

2026 03/24

The new all-electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be built on the 800V MB.EA dedicated electric architecture and is expected to be officially unveiled later this year. The global version of the all-electric C-Class is set to make its debut in April, when we'll finally see it in full. For now, spy shots give us an early look at where the car has been stretched.

Comparing the domestic spy shots with the global version, the long-wheelbase model looks nearly identical to the global car at the front and rear. The main difference is at the C-pillar, where you can clearly see the rear doors have been lengthened, resulting in a shorter fixed quarter window. The rear window itself has also been noticeably extended to free up more space for rear passengers.

According to previous reports, the new model is expected to adopt the same large pixel-matrix grille seen on the all-electric GLC. Inside, it should feature a seamless 39.1-inch MBUX Superscreen. Power will likely come from the eATS 2.0 electric drive system, which includes a radial-flux motor and a two-speed transmission. Output is expected to be 272 hp for the single-motor version and 489 hp for the dual-motor version.
