The new model of the Beijing Off-road BJ40, recently launched, maintains the same exterior and interior design as the current version, continuing to be positioned as an all-scenario professional off-road SUV in the compact SUV category. The key updates for this new release focus on configuration upgrades, with a full series now standardly equipped with towing capabilities and an added roof rack function, enhancing its off-road prowess. Additionally, the inclusion of a panoramic sunroof and leather seats further elevates the vehicle's quality and comfort.
In terms of appearance, the new model retains the "boxy" design seen in the existing models, complemented by a roof rack that broadens the range of usage scenarios. The door handles, finished in black, contrast with the body color, alongside a smoked front grille and black fender flares, adding a touch of sportiness to the overall look.
Regarding dimensions, the new BJ40 measures 4790/1940/1949mm (L/W/H), with a wheelbase of 2760mm. It boasts an approach angle of 37 degrees, a departure angle of 35 degrees, a maximum wading depth of 800mm, and a maximum climbing gradient of 100%. Built on a non-bearing body, the gasoline version is equipped with part-time four-wheel drive, while the diesel variant features full-time four-wheel drive. Higher-end models come with central differential lock, front axle differential lock, and rear axle differential lock, along with crawl mode, tank turn, low-speed four-wheel drive, and hill descent control functions.
